Abstract

Organisational commitment suggested as remarkable variables forming employee attitude toward KM practices. Customer trust to the service is built during a long relationship and will lead to more accuracy of shared information and it is what service company persuading to maintain the competitive advantage. Therefore employee turnover is considered as a substantial loss of knowledge. In present study organizational commitment on employee retention, knowledge acquisition and sharing has been surveyed, and leader-member exchange and innovation climate have been considered as moderating effects. The sample study is 250 employee of leader in Iran hotel industry, and partial least square structural equation modelling method is used to analyse the data extracted from questionnaires. Results confirmed that organizational commitment has a positive effect on employee retention and knowledge acquisition and sharing and leader-member exchange and innovation climate reinforce the behaviour. Managers may use this research outcome to effective implementation of the KM system.
