Can I recommend reviewers for the review of my paper?

Updated By IJoSI Editorial Office 10 days ago

Authors are allowed to recommend up to 3 qualified reviewers for a paper satisfying all of the following conditions:

  • Don’ts: The recommended reviewer is NOT in any special-interest relationship with any of the authors: a) Advisor-student-instructor relationship; b) In the same research group or under the same professor; c) from the same institute;
  • Do’s: The recommended reviewer should have a) the proper expertise to review the paper being reviewed; b) must have a Ph.D. degree in related fields.

Note that it is up to the corresponding editor to determine if a recommended reviewer is to be used. A reviewer from the same country as an author usually is considered less preferred.

To recommend a reviewer, the author should include the reviewer's following information in the cover letter submitted to the IJoSI web system:

Full Name, e-mail, position, institution, expertise.
